Tix Anti-Flux in a 2 oz brush-cap bottle is a solder-flow inhibitor. Choose it for areas that should remain free of solder rather than using it as the flux that prepares a joint.

Control Where Solder Flows

The manufacturer identifies Anti-Flux as a fast-drying, water-soluble product for use with soft or hard solder. Apply it to the area to be protected according to the product instructions, keeping the intended solder joint separate from the treated surface.

Plan the Assembly Before Heating

Small metal assemblies often place a new joint close to a detail or connection that you want to preserve. Identify those areas before starting, then decide how the parts will be supported and where the solder needs to flow.
