Arcus Hobby Colors Model Paints

Explore Arcus Hobby Colors at MegaHobby for model paint palettes built around historical subjects. Our starting selection includes themed six-color sets for early-war German armor and postwar Royal Air Force aircraft, with colors for larger painted surfaces and selected finishing details.

Choose colors with a project in mind

A themed paint set gives you a focused selection when planning a historical model. The Wehrmacht Fall Weiß set 2099 combines camouflage shades with marking and gunmetal colors for early-war armor projects. The RAF Soviet submarine hunters set 3052 offers a palette intended for postwar RAF aircraft, including exterior and detail shades. Each of these sets contains six 10 ml paints.

Use references to guide the finish

Match your palette to the vehicle or aircraft, service period and markings you intend to represent. A set's theme helps narrow the choices, but individual subjects can call for different combinations. Check photographs, kit instructions and other references before settling on a camouflage pattern or detail color.

Mix paint thoroughly, follow the bottle instructions for compatible thinner and cleanup, and test your planned combination of primer, paint and clear finish before working on the model. Careful preparation makes it easier to assess coverage and color as the finish develops.
