Choose a lighter visual effect
Fine has a listed line dimension of 0.010 inch, approximately 0.25 mm. It can suit delicate-looking aerials, utility lines and other small suspended details. Compare the line against the actual model before committing, since viewing distance, color and surrounding detail all affect how prominent it appears.
Connect the details in a scenic model
On a railroad layout, suspended lines can connect poles, structures and industrial areas visually. Aircraft and ship models offer other opportunities for aerials and fine line details. Military scenes can use modeled communication lines to help establish the setting. Use references to select an appropriate route, attachment points and color.
Black and White provide different contrasts against the surrounding scene. Green, Blue, Rope and Rust / Copper offer other visual options. Color names describe the appearance; EZ Line is an elastic detailing material, not electrical wire or a structural miniature cable.
Plan installation around delicate parts
Test your chosen adhesive and attachment method on spare material. Apply modest tension and avoid pulling a mast, pole or other small component out of position. The line can flex when disturbed, but that does not make the finished model damage-proof or remove the need for careful handling.
