Choose the range for the task

Choose the thinner for the paint chemistry and task. X-20A is the acrylic thinner in this selection; LP-10 belongs with the lacquer system. A thinner bottle is not a paint color, even when it has a familiar range code. Follow the paint and thinner directions together.

Test the complete finish

Prepare a sample using the primer, color and final coating you intend to combine. Evaluate the dried appearance before masking or adding decals. The underlying surface and final sheen affect the result, and a familiar color name does not guarantee an exact match across different paint systems.
