Prepare the joint
Lay out parts, clamps and mixing supplies before combining components. Use the ratio and working conditions on the label. On a coating or laminating job, test a small area to see how the material wets the surface and how the cured finish behaves before committing to the whole part.
At the workbench
For a repair, consider how the part will be loaded and how you will hold the pieces in position. On a finishing project, plan the area you can coat during the working time and use clean tools. Choose a package size based on the amount you can use and store according to the directions.
